I never heard about bone conduction headphones until someone from work let me listen to his 5 years ago. I bought my 1st pair that same day. I'm almost deaf in my right ear so I was limited on what I could wear at work. My 1st pair of bone conduction headphones was the shokz and I paid $150 for them 5 years ago. I listen to YouTube videos at work all day and with bone conduction headphones I can communicate with coworkers and still listen. My headphones would need charged half way through the day and it would take almost 2 hours to charge. I decided I was going to get another pair but I didn't want to pay $150 so I started searching Amazon and found these. I bought these in December of last year(2023). Because of the price of these qaekie my expectations were low. I can assure you I was wrong. My my 5 year old shokz died in March this year(2024). I bought a pair of over the ear headphones because at the time I was out of work and did not have to worry about interacting with coworkers. Now that I am back at work I ordered another pair of qaekie. When they arrived I completed the warranty online and inside the box was a scratch off and it said I won a free pair of the same headphones. The company emailed me back and thanked me for filling out the warranty and if I ever needed anything to reach out. I told them about the scratch off and they asked me to send my amazon order number and address and they would get back to me. I received tracking information on the free headphones on Wednesday and they arrived today. I thought that they would have me cover shipping but they took care of everything. Let me get into some differences between the 2 headphones. #1 is the price shokz $150 qaekie $21. #2 the shokz I bought 5 years ago came with their 1 of a kind cable and if you needed a new one they were expensive at the time. Qaekie uses usb c which not only cheap to replace but because usb c is used with many other products most of us, probably, have extra cables sitting around. #3 friends and family have told me that the audio on calls was much better with the qaekie. #4 surprisingly the qaekie charged way faster than the shokz. I will say that the shokz were a bit lighter than the qaekie but it has not bothered me at all. As I stated earlier I only use my bone conduction headphones for phone calls and listening to YouTube videos and for that there is no notable difference in my opinion. If your main purpose is music you may need to scan other reviews. Qaekie is very easy to pair with any device and to be honest since I bought the shokz 5 years ago I can't remember what the pairing process was. I can say, for me, the shokz are easier to control the volume. If you are reading this and have never had bone conduction headphones and you are considering buying a pair you can't go wrong with qaekie. Sorry this review turned into a novel on bone conduction headphones. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who is considering buying them.
