PLEASE READ UPDATE 2 BELOWOriginal post--The short of it: These things are fine, mediocre at best. For the cost it's disappointing that they're not as good as you'd expect.Since this appears to be a fairly new product I figure it'll be worth a lengthy description of each major component, including complaints.1. The handband.1a. I got the "breeze" model in a large, and it's fine for the most part. Comfortable, it is breathable, and the varying width makes sense. It's thinner along your brow than it is along the back of your head, which I like since it makes the minor adjustments you need to make every time you put it on (nature of the type of device, not a fault of this product) easier. Some of the wired knock-off's I've had had extra material/were shaped around the ears which I think I prefer but this is fine.1b. The handband has this opening on the back with what I'm pretty sure is velcro along the left side. It's in a position where inserting the left speaker into the handband takes a couple minutes longer than it should because the velcro is constantly catching on the handband, so you're just futzing with it until it's past the velcro. The right side is much, much easier. I can't tell what the velcro even does so I don't know why it's there.2. The speakers2a. They're fine. Flat speakers like this are never going to sound great, and I'm not going to pretend like every other pair of headphones I own/use regularly being Sennheiser hasn't skewed my perspective, but I honestly think the ~$20 wired knock-off brands I've used for this type of product sound better. These have more of what I guess is supposed to be bass, but overall they sound more muffled. They do get quite a lot louder though without crackle or hiss or anything, so that's good.3. The bluetooth adapter3a. The block that is the bluetooth adapter, I imagine from it's overall quality and feature set, probably costs ~$25, tops. It's clearly the bulk of the cost of this product. It works perfectly fine, don't get me wrong, I just can't feasibly justify how these headphones cost so much when the bulk of the Bill of Materials is a fraction of the cost of the device. It linked to my phone easily enough, it has a little bendy-bit in the middle so it conforms to your head a bit better (which is nice), and it works. It just is so feature-unrich, and made of what feels like cheap-ish materials, I can't explain how it costs so much besides "a whole lotta mark-up."3b. They don't report battery remaining to my phone, or from what I can tell in anyway whatsoever, which is why I have no idea how long the battery actually lasts. It might last a while, but I've thrown it back on the charger after 2-3 nights of use for fear it won't have anything in the tank for the next night.3c. The controls are both too sensitive and not sensitive enough. Sometimes I feel like I have to press so hard on the button I'm going to leave a bruise on my head and other times the lightest breeze of a touch will work. Could be a quality control issue, could just because this is fairly cheap.3d. Related to the velcro problem with the headband, I leave the bluetooth adapter just to the right the opening to insert everything into the headband because it's not comfortable anywhere else. If it's in the center of the hole and I can hear the adapter scrapping the velcro. The extra space in the back of the headband doesn't really account for where the adapter should be considering that velcro's just ... there taking up space and being in the way. It's a solid 3 star product. One metric unit of "wireless sleep headphones." Far from terrible, far from great. I'd have liked them a lot more if I spent under $70, but at $100 it feels like a bit of a rip off.--UPDATE:I've now been using these a few months and have a couple quick note updates.1. The battery life is surprisingly long. It can go almost a week. Surprising considering...2. I didn't think it would matter but there's no auto-off. I'll wake up in the morning and have to turn them off. It's obviously sipping power if there's no sound coming thru, but I wonder why not just turn off after 1 hour of no incoming sound?3. I think these should be $50. I have RIDICULOUSLY more advanced Sennheiser Bluetooth headphones I got on sale for the regular price of these. Granted, they're different markets, but these are so incredibly mediocre in comparison I can't believe I paid $100 for it. I bet this thing is like... $30 in materials, most of it commodity pieces, too.If the market for headphones to sleep with was bigger these would be a huge rip off. As is, if you want Bluetooth ones they might be the most comfortable sadly.--UPDATE 2: June 2021So, they died. I bought these September 2020 and they died in May 2021. They charge up, they turn on and connect to a device, but no sound plays. I've tried different bluetooth headsets with my phone to confirm it's not the phone, and I tried these on my work phone as well and they don't work there either. I'd say the speakers might have broken, but both left and right play the "turn on", "connected to device", and the "turning off" tones without issue. So just trying to get a replacement pair of the headphones due to something like a wire break won't work, and I doubt I could find those without hunting on chinese drop-ship sites. These things are just bad. $100 for something that shouldn't be sold for no more than $50, mediocre sound quality (I bought ~$25 wired chinese brand replacements that do sound better), super out dated bluetooth feature set, etc. Only redeeming quality is the battery life and the headband is comfortable, but if they can't play sound from a device after ~8 months they're worthless. Changing rating to 1 star, absolute don't recommend.I use this most nights. If wake up middle of the night i'll listen to some ambient music to go to sleep. I wore out the previous version...battery died after a couple of years. Previous version the large was a little larger and I think it was made of silk...much nicer. If this one was silk it would be 5 stars. For my large head ( I ordered large) ...just a littel tight , a little uncomfortable after 4 hours. Other wise...I use it almost every night, sure beats headphones.I've tried a dozen different headphones to sleep in, these are 100X better than anything else on the market. I tried a cheaper headband pair with flat speakers, and they were not flat enough, they still hurt my ears after a few hours of sleeping. This band is worn for 8 hours without any pain. They don't shift around either. I use these with a sleep sounds app and although I can still hear my husband's snoring a little bit when set at a sound level that is comfortable for me, it is no longer intrusive and doesn't keep me awake. I charge the band every morning. It's easy to adjust the volume while wearing these too. I bought this over a year ago and wear them every single night. If they broke tomorrow, I would immediately order another pair. They are simple to remove from the headband to wash the headband and the band is lightweight and comfortable to wear all night. Def. recommend.I've used sleepphones since 1012 every night. I have tinnitus from my time in the army and it makes it hard to sleep. These plus Audible audiobooks are a great combination. They are comfortable to sleep in and make a pretty decent sleep mask as well. 10 stars. For most part - it works.- charging means you have to disengage the battery- it use an old and awkward USB connector so disconnecting and reconnecting is, well, a bit awkward. Specially so if you try do it in the darkness of you bedroom. Why not USB C?- There is no software for you to see the battery status or change the volume. To be fair, changing the volume of your smartphone work just fine, but I would love to have the ability to watch a convenient battery status- Living in mostly hot area, I do wish for soft, pleasing non-synthetic band. I am quite certain it is doableOver-all: this could be a great product. It is good and useful, you can see the potential of what it could have been, especially for the priceI liked the product’s sound etc., but I sleep hot and the heavy synthetic material is too hot for the summer or shoulder seasons. Pls make one in a light cotton or percaleThe headband fits awkwardly, it's hard to cover both your ears and have it stay on your forehead. Human ears are not situated on a dotted line to your forehead, but to your eyes. I imagine this is not what the engineers had hoped, unless they expect us to block out our eyes too? (in that case they aren't tight enough) TLDR; the band moves around when sleeping at night, but the real problem for me was the speakers are much too hard for side-sleepersPros:-Very comfy & fleece-Wireless, reliable connection-Slim headphonesCons:-Single charge stopped lasting at least a week after less than a year-No capability to show the remaining battery on your phone-No auto-off if not playing any audio-Finding the power button is like trying to read braille on your forehead-Frequently occurring bug where turning volume to zero still plays low volume (iOS, but not sure if it happens with others)-Way, way overpriced for the cost of materialsWish there was enough competition for this market to push out a better quality wireless sleep headphone product that isn’t overpriced. But there isn’t yet, most of the ones out there are some uncomfortable mesh or dry-wick material (although with more reasonable pricing), so this is probably your best choice for nice quality wireless sleep headphones…unfortunately.Pretty satisfied with this purchase. It was recommended by a friend, to help with troubled sleeping. The sound quality is good, but you can still hear some louder outside noises. The material feel nice and the speakers are so thin that I can barely feel them even when sleeping on the side. The only disappointment was that the headband is not as high as in the picture, and it is a bit loose, despite getting the right size. The battery charge lasts for one night of use only.Comfortable to sleep in. Works as described. After a week of use, listening to podcasts to fall asleep to, I still haven't needed to recharge the battery. Well worth it.Too small for a largevhead
