This is my third pair of E7s. My daughter gave me her pair when I complained about how much pain the shift in air pressure caused while on the flight out to see her. She thought the noise cancelling mode might help. Yes, it did! I highly recommend this headphone. However, my second pair, broke on my last flight and were completely useless. The ear pads rotate to lay flat which is very convenient. When I put my headphones on after we boarded the plane, they felt loose. I realized the ear pads had separated from the overhead band. There was no tension to hold the headphones to my head and all I could do was remove them. I have a clamshell case for the headphones and I mainly use them when I take a flight or when my husband mows the lawn (loud, repetitious sounds make me miserable). I consider them to be gently used and carefully protected so I was a bit surprised when they broke. Hoping this new set lasts much, much longer. :)
