I would love to love a relatively good cheap pair of conduction headphones for mowing the lawn or working with earplugs in. I'm willing to forgive the relatively poor sound quality in favor of cheepnes and just listen to audiobooks or songs I'm not too worried about the sound quality of. But here's the thing, they are not bone conduction headphones. They do not use bone conduction technology at all. They cheat. These are regular headphones that look like bone conduction headphone in shape, size, design, and color, and have a tiny speaker slot pointed at your ears instead of bone conduction technology. The volume goes up very loud as the speaker is precisely pointed at your ears so you could in theory turn up the volume enough to hear with earplugs in, (and the come with some inexpensive ones) but that is no different than putting giant headphones on top of your earplugs. Why is this an issue you ask? well, auditory safety. You are adding additional noise for your earplugs to try to filter out, they are not silent to others nearby, and you are paying for tech you are not getting. If you have hearing issues and wish to use bone conduction tech, these will not work for you. Interestingly enough although the title of the item on amazon is bone conduction, the packaging did not mention this at all, it merely says "not in ear Wireless stereo headphones." Indeed they are that, but they are NOT bone conduction. I also did not enjoy the comfort. There are no adjustments for comfort, and even wearing them on the back of my head, I found them too small and awkward to fit around my ears.they are being returned and should be pulled for false advertising.
